Royal series

On 8th of December on the Neftlix platform was release of series "Harry and Meghan". It tells about the life of royal couple since the beginning of their relations, wedding  and their withdrewal from the royal life. Once it was released, series immediately became sensation and caused multiple disscussions in the media and beyond it.

These series are very unique due to the fact that protagonists show the real side of living in the royal family. By the end of a day, if we think carefully, we will notice that the members of the aristocracy are ordinary people with their own emotions, struggles and no royal rank can help it. On the other hand, the series contained a lot of subjective and personal statements which were not always necessary to share with general public.

From my point of view, it is a project that reveals many myths about royals and their attitudes. On the other hand, its success can be explained by the "elite people" effect in mass media. Without any doubt the story became that popular because of the word "royal" which is actually a pillar of its plot. To be honest, neither Harry nor Meghan have no other talents or achievements beside their relation to British crown. Nobody would have known them if they hadn't been complaining all the time about royals and that they did not know certain things. If you are American it does not mean you are poorly educated and does not know traditions of others.

But was it worth spending millions of dollars in order to tell about someone's family struggles? My answer is definitely NO. I am sure that there are plenty other ways how this money could be used for solving current problems instead of arranging another media campaign and promoting their own personalities.
